I relate to much of what...Assalam alaikum Heather,<br /><br />I relate to much of what you wrote here. I also don't go too much into the deep meanings of things like many people do. I don't feel the "deep spiritual connection" either. As I wrote in my blog about my first Ramadan one year ago, the fasting makes me feel like I'm dying and starving and about to pass out any minute. It just feels like pure suffering. I don't get any satisfaction from it either. So I know what you mean. Just know you're not alone in feeling this way!<br /><br />May Allah make it easy for us.
