These politicians will cut everyone's pay but their own, and tax the poor and middle-class more than the rich.
When I am Queen of the universe, these things will change. Soldiers and teachers will be paid at least $70,000, and athletes and movie stars will make absolutely no more than $45,000 a year.

Can I help you in your campaign to be queen of the universe? As a teacher it sickens me that the high school football coach gets paid like 2x the educators. And the highest paid people in the country are athletes, celebrities, and coaches. It's glaringly unjust....

Susanne: Yeah, it was all part of that "the government's gonna collapse" hysteria last week. Supposedly we get paid twice, so we'll get our full pay, but the only check I've seen was half my usual. It's a good thing the politicians pulled their heads out of their backsides and finally agreed "just in time". If the government would've shut down, we would have been working without pay -- the first time soldiers in an active war wouldn't have been getting paid. This may be a resort vacation, but I still have a mortgage to pay.
